CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW, PART DEUX! Since the last post is again fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post, even though there's just a little over a week to game start. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

[ loki's not quite so certain why he's so .. stunned, to see thor here. it feels like only moments since he saw him last, and yet it feels like years, decades, centuries. how long had he been floating in the blackness, before the powers that be chose to draw him here? it could have been seconds, or centuries, loki has no way of knowing; time is a difficult thing to measure, when you are dead. and having been dead, loki had somehow assumed that this was perhaps some strange sort of afterlife, or some such thing, because that surely is the sort of thing to follow a death.

but then why ever would thor be here? surely he deserves better than this. it is the shining halls of valhalla that await his mighty brother when ragnarok falls again. nevertheless, thor is here, which is a thing that makes loki think, and with thor comes everything else. asgardia, the all mother, surtur and leah and .. and ..

the memories flood back; loki can still taste the foul, metallic tang of the magpie's blood on his tongue. and to think, moments ago he had been having such careless fun. loki stares at his brother in wonder, hyper aware of the weight of his strong, broad hands on his shoulders. oh, thor.. ]

Ah, I'm afraid that I don't have an answer for you, brother! I have not been here very long. Are you -

Where is Mjolnir? I hope you have not misplaced her.

[It's more difficult to hold her up now, with the tension starting to uncoil from his muscles, but he manages for just a little longer. Seeing that scorching heat and need within her eyes is enough to make him know that he has to hold her, keep her. He is not going to let that go.

His arms shift again, cradling her with one while his other hand moves. He strokes the top of her head, her soft, unusually green hair. It's a pretty shade on her and he likes things that are unusual. Unique. He likes having them, and not letting anyone else have them. One more reason not to let her go easily.]

Mm, me too. You're a pretty good time.

[Getting her out of the coat is definitely a good start, but he already wants more. His fingers drift across the silk, smooth and warm and feeling very, very rich, and he lets her pull off the belt before his hands move to the sort of corset around her waist.

Before he can really tug at the laces, though, he feels the leather sliding across the back of his neck, and he looks up at her with an amused, curious expression. What do you plan to do with that? it asks her, but he doesn't push her away. No, he just starts opening those laces again, wanting to see more of her body no matter what.]

[For a moment, Thor considers that Loki might be lying. But they've come to a tentative understanding these last few days, with Asgardia turned against them, and all turned against Surtur. When has Loki, since he's been so changed, lied? Hid things, yes, consorted with demons, evil creatures, and hel-creatures, yes. But lied? No. Not outright. And what he's done, he's done for good. For Asgardia.]

[Thor trusts him.]

[And anyway, he's distracted by the question, and stands again, leaving a hand on Loki's shoulder and making a fist of the other, where the hammer's weight should be. He looks some distance off, toward the farthest city wall, as if it might be hidden there.] Taken. Along with my power, my godhood, all but the strength of my hands.

[But, of course, none of that matters to Loki, who had lost his own powers months ago and not said a word of it. Thor looks back to his small brother and wonders what he might've been through in the short time since he arrived. The technology inside his head-- Have they performed such an atrocity on Loki as well?] You're well, then? Unharmed by this place?

Dean elbowed him. "Don't insult me. Of course I can make it to bed."

Even if it took him a minute to remember if he was in his own apartment or not. "I'm just comfortable here."

[She re-threads the tongue of the belt and pulls it through, until the leather is wrapped around his neck, close but not tight.]

You look good in my affects.

[Her claws help him pick open the last of the laces, and she pulls her shirt off from under the loosened corset. She's braless, and her nipples are dark blue, pebbled tight, cerulean aureoles smaller than the average human woman's.]

[ now that's a shock if he's ever heard one. thor, his most mighty brother, stripped of his powers? of mjolnir? from what he has read, it is not the first time it has happened and yet .. to think that this place has such power ..

but best not to make a scene of it, he thinks. surely his brother's pride must be hurt, and loki is not feeling quite so brave as to prod the dozing lindwyrm. loki's gloved fingers ghost to the sensitive slit behind his ear, where the chip was, presumably, implanted. still it stings, but the pain is not much. loki's mouth twists into a wry smile. ]

Not so much. It is difficult for them to take what I do not possess, after all!

He let out a grunt and used his weight to press into Sasuke, grinding against his ass when he had him turned around and pinned finally. His hand flexed tighter around his wrists, holding him securely in place as he ground against him.

"That the best you can do, huh?" He murmured, one hand trailed down SAsuke's back and rested against his ass, groping teasingly.

"Or do you just want it that bad?" This was good. Sam had to admit that he liked this right now, having a squirming body pressed tight against his, knowing it was just token protest he was giving.

"Believe me, I can." He rolled his eyes. "Just wondering what the hell your problem is, that's all."

"Do I look like I have a problem? I'm problem free, stretch."

That earned another smile as he looked down at her. "Mm, yeah... definitely later. We'll have plenty of time, looks like."

"You know where I live now, so... you can come knocking when you feel like it." She gave his jaw a playful nip, soothing it with a kiss before she moved forward to sprawl out over the bed.

"God, that was perfect."

So something easy then. [There's a tight smile there, something bordering on friendly even if Sam still feels awkward and out of place in this city. Feels cornered and caged. Still, he's caged with so many other people, pushing them away now seems like a stupid idea.]

It's not that I have anything against it. Just don't feel like doing it. [He'd never been as into pointless, nameless sex like Dean and he did drink, but not as much as Dean usually did anymore.

Not the time to bring it up though. So far from it.

He shifts his weight a little bit and actually huffs out a laugh at the last comment. Something close to it at least.]

Yeah? Sorry about that, just not thinking clear today, I guess. Sam Winchester.

"Right." He doubted that from the looks of it. He sighs and nudges at Dean's side. "You know, if you want me to leave, you'll have to quit using me as part of the furniture."

[it was the kind of magic fenris didn't mind, the uncanny ability to make the corners of his mouth curl into unexpected smiles, sometimes accompanied by brief chuckles. this was one of them. hawke had him there, and he understood perfectly. he took the bottle offered, but he didn't drink, not yet. he raised it instead, a light smirk gracing his lips. he looked both warm and feral, an intensity he reserved for the man in front of him.] To you, Hawke. [an agreement in full fenris fashion, subtle but heartfelt. sticking together seemed like the only favorable option, and truth be told... he couldn't imagine his life without him. their new situation wasn't ideal, and he definitely wanted to be elsewhere... but hawke made it better. he always made it better. his lips twitched around the thought and his gaze grew warmer, his voice suave. the unlikeliness of their camaraderie had been so high, it made all of this so much stronger.] A finer mage I have never met. [and he drank.]

[At least Loki is in higher spirits than he was before. And he's wrong-- There is much they can take from him. But he keeps his wit, his endurance, his memory. It satisfies Thor enough to know it, regardless of what else might have been taken. He is Loki still, and they are in this place together, bound even here by unseen strings that tie them to each other.]

[Thor's grateful, now.]

[He crosses his arms, and remains stoic despite the rising of his brows, the amusement buried deep.] What of your Stark phone?

"Aah-!" The sound, soft and sudden, slipped from Sasuke's lips before he could stop it, to feel Sam pressing and grinding roughly against him all at once. His teeth gritted, he tensed in a slow shudder. Fuck. He could at least do this without making those noises. His spine stiffened; his ass pushed back into the other's hand, this time without the embarrassment of a quiet gasp.

He couldn't quite hold back the groan at those words, though, sounding through teeth still clenched hard together. A little shove pushed him back against the other, separated him from the wall just less than an inch: a little taste of Sasuke's real strength, though still held much back. I could fight if I wanted to, the unspoken words intended. Sasuke didn't say anything out loud though, a little worried at what might come out at this point.

[At least the kid was properly agitated now. The seriousness of this situation would go further if treated as such by more of the outsiders like himself. Sasuke sure as hell didn't want to be here for the long term.]

[He sighed, glancing around for... ah.] You see that? [Following his point would lead the eye to the nearby edge of the city, a few scant blocks away: scaffolding and brickwork.] They want us building their city for them.

[ it is still taking him some time to digest all of this. though loki does a fine job of concealing it, thor's presence here has rocked him. seeing him again after all that's happened - will loki be able to keep his secrets safe? should he? he hadn't been able to warn him, back in asgardia .. hadn't been able to tell him to be careful, to tell him what was going on; it behooves of him now, doesn't it, to tell him? it will do no harm, and it may even help to keep him safe.

but the words stick in his throat, despite it all. loki cannot bring himself to tell him. not now, at least. not here.

but thor, it seems, has given him a welcome distraction. loki's eyebrows rise, and he reaches to his pocket to pluck the stark phone free. its screen is black and dead as loki turns its face to his brother. ]

I have it with me! It seems it doesn't work, however. I should have thought to bring a charger!

[Okay, he had to stay calm. Freaking out wasn't gonna help with anything. Hard to stay still, though, when he wanted to run right out and confront whoever was in charge of this hellhole. It was a game he really had no interest in playing.]

Huh? [His gaze followed in the same direction.] Slave labor, like you said... [He scrunched up his face.] So, work and... sex? Do they really think that's gonna make everyone cooperate? That's crazy.
