[ This statue was rather impressive up close; whoever designed it had a keen eye for even the most minuet of details. Though, given the current escapades of the town folk, for all he knew, maybe this wasn’t a statue at all. Maybe it was three, cleverly painted individuals, posed to entice the public; hey, everyone had their kinks… though, layers of paint and the added child part of the scene was off putting personally, not that he was judging. Well okay, maybe he was. Nonetheless, he saw little reason to look away; instead, bidding his time by letting his gaze trace over every sculpted curve as Fenris fumbled through the words in his head. Intended to visit him, huh? Now that sounded promising. Snorting quietly to himself, he shook his head and let the moment go, muffling every witty – or possibly lewd – observation he had, because this was… special. Endearing. He had convinced himself years ago that Fenris was undeniably bright, eloquent, in his words and his demeanor; even in the midst of anger, when things were unraveling at both ends, he never lost that refined sort of quality he carried around. Hearing him off his perpetual game was a rarity Hawke would never grow tired of.
But all good things came to an end. Or that was what he’d previously believed, because now he had Fenris just across the way and things were definitely still good.

Basically, there was a strong possibility that he already horribly smitten and despite how often Fenris threw a wrench into things, his feelings never budged. Nice how that worked out, huh? ]
