i'm never forgiving you for that

[ If Hawke gets you alone behind closed – and hopefully locked – doors, Fenris, there won’t be much time to catch your breath. Jus’ sayin’. But anyway; ahem. That was certainly an unfortunately clever way of derailing the beginnings of a promising conversation; here he was, fighting down the urge to smile too wide, ignoring the impulse to laugh too much, completely happy in the moment because Fenris was playing along, and then, then there was that. That soul crushingly simple line. Oh yes, they should move on from enjoying each other’s company and focus on the task at hand; Maker, as much as he liked Fenris’ knack to keep everyone in line, sometimes he wished the elf would, for five minutes at least, forget their never-ending agenda and take a time-out. With him preferably. But he’d found out pretty quick three years ago, that in pursuing Fenris, there would be a great deal of disappointment. So with practiced ease, he shrugged it off and pivoted, glancing around once more before angling a sly grin at the other. ] I see you still enjoy following me. [ Ha! He could use some overused Fenris lines too! But then he was flicking his fingers toward some undisclosed destination out in the distance, brushing over things with a far less confident-- ] Let’s try… this way.

[ And so began their adventure!

After having exchanged the minimal information of their residences We’ll talk specifics when we actually figure out how the housing works rofl, they were set on wandering through the streets until they stumbled across said housing , which was fine, because Hawke was rather fond of getting lost in unfamiliar places, but he had to admit, that he wasn’t quite accustomed to dodging people. In this sense, at least. Walking straight into a trap and dodging a sword, an arrow, a spell, yeah, he could do that, but there was something remarkably unsettling about sidestepping a couple wrestling off to the side, bypassing a pair dragging a third into their pile, and trying not to run into any of the normal patrons while staring a little too long at a woman currently missing her blouse just over there. Unsurprisingly however, Hawke found a way to man up and deal with it all; if there was anything surprising about this, it was that he kept his jokes at bay, far too enraptured in trying to work out how the Blooming Rose had become a city, to provide his usual entertainment. He did however, break his silence after a woman behind a nearby booth gestured at them as they passed by, saying something about exchanging beads; a few more steps though and then she forgot them, turning her attention to someone behind him and in turn, Hawke glanced down at his string of red, hooking a finger around it. Huh, so these beads must have held some form of value in this city. Silly him; here he’d thought they were a poor man’s accessory. Dropping his hand, he angled his gaze to Fenris and quirked a, clearly clueless, smile. ]
I forgot to ask; did they give you beads as well? [ Maybe they could pool theirs together and exchange them for… uh, whatever it was that they were meant for. :D ]
