It didn't matter in Sasori's view that the kid was doing a good job of holding Sasori's attention at that very moment; of course he would, when the potential that there could be useful information about his former partner at hand existed, and as long as that was the case Sasori would pursue it.

The question was whether or not the kid would be able to hold Sasori's interest on his own merits beyond that attractive appearance of his...which was an aesthetic assessment that was only natural for an artist like himself to make.
