CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW, PART DEUX! Since the last post is again fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post, even though there's just a little over a week to game start. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

"I was talking about when you got all up close and personal with my lady lumps, genius. You looked like someone spat in your cereal."

"Well what kinda weirdo just goes around feeling boobs? I didn't realize what I was doing! Not like you want me to touch 'em."

"That weirdo. And that one. And that one over there," she said, pointing out guys - and girls - with their hands on boobs at that moment. "And you? No. I prefer to have people who know what they're doing play with my naughty bits, thank you."

He huffed, face burning red from how humiliated he felt. This kind of thing hadn't come up back home, and the truth was he was way out of his element.

"Fine, whatever."

He turned to leave, now all of a sudden feeling an even more urgent need to hide than before.

"Look," she called out, concern and guilt niggling at her. "Just... don't let anyone tell you to do things, okay?" Because teasing aside, she'd feel bad if he went off and got himself creeped on by some perv, especially since he didn't seem to know any better.

[meanlook]

"I'm no weakling!" he called back over his shoulder, "Anybody messes with me, they'll regret it."

"It's not a matter of strength, you knob." God, he was frustrating. Were all teeneagers this bratty and em-- strike that. Of course they were.

[meanlook]

"Everything is a matter of strength," he turned around, "Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves."

"Right. Because it took a whole lot of strength to get you all flustered and flaily. Not just a little boob touching..."

[meanlook]

"That doesn't count!"

He reached into his pocket and took out a red-and-white ball, gaining a smug smirk.

"In a fight, nobody's gonna have what I've got."

"The hell it doesn't."

She looked at the ball, then back up at him. "Dude, seriously? You're going to bouncy ball them to death while they cop a feel?"

[meanlook]

Silver pressed the button on the ball, causing a beam of light to come from its center and take the shape of a small form a few feet in front of him. When the light faded, what sat between himself and Kenzi was what could only be described as a small blue crocodile.

"Totodiiiile!"

"Does THAT look like a bouncy ball to you?"

"... It looks like someone bred a miniature gator for rich prudes." Which had her giving him another look, because rich people were snobs, and if he had some hybrid unique pet, obviously he was a spoiled rich brat.

[meanlook]

"It's a monster," he barked back, "Everyone has them where I come from! Totodile, use Water Gun!"

Totodile seemed eager to please, opening its tiny maw and... coughing up nothing!

"Huh? What's wrong with you? Don't tell me I stole a dud!"

[sawyourwolfjunk]

"It's a chia pet," she snapped back, watching the thing look like it was trying to hack up a furball.

"And now it's choking. Way to go, buddy. I can see you fighting off the masses with this. Yup. You're perfectly fine and safe."

[meanlook]

"No! This is wrong! It's not supposed to do this...!"

Totodile looked really upset, clutching its long nose with both clawed hands, "Toto? Dile?!"

Silver stamped his foot, throwing the empty ball on the ground in frustration, "You worthless thing! Stupid Professor, keeping a Pokemon who can't even battle! Now what am I supposed to do?!"

"Hey, don't yell at it," she frowned, moving closer and bending down to see the small little weird thing. Hesitantly, she moved a hand out to see if she could pet it, ready to pull it back the instant it looked like it might bite.

"It's not its' fault you can't lift things properly." Of course, that begged the question of what the thing was and what he thought he was stealing.

Luckily for Kenzi, this Totodile was incredibly friendly. It seemed comforted by her petting, making a small chirruping sound and leaning into her hand.

"I steal things just fine! Someone who's an expert on Pokemon should only have good stuff! ... and I'll yell at it if I want, it's mine!"

She made cooing noises at it, smiling as the kinda cute thing actually seemed to like being petted. Looking back up at him, she rolled her eyes again.

"You can't steal for crap if you don't even know if what you're ganking works or not. And you're being an infantile little skeezbot right now, and yelling at some poor little creature isn't going to make you the big bad man on the block."

Indeed, Totodile was lapping up the attention. It sighed happily, snuggling up against Kenzi. It hadn't gotten pets in a really long time!

"Hey! How's it supposed to get tough when you're making a fuss over it like that! You don't know anything about Pokemon."

And she was a sucker for small things that needed attention. She scritched under its jaw, then smoothed along its back.

"It's just a baby, for crying out loud. And I don't need to know about Poky-men to know that being a jerk isn't going to get you anything but a badly trained pet. Not to mention rude much?"

Totodile lifted its head to accommodate the scratching, eyes half-lidding in contentment. So far, it really liked this place! Even if new master seemed really angry for some reason.

"It's not a pet! It's a weapon!" he whined like a kid being told his action figures were dolls.

"Pff," she huffed, reaching down to use both hands to coddle the little guy. "It's a bitty little bundle of total adorableness."

Giving him a scathing look, she said, "People like you are why pitbulls have such a bad rep."

"What the heck is a pitbull?"

In his mind's eye, Silver had the image of a Tauros in a pit or something, butting its head against rocks.

"It's a dog, genius. One that people train to fight other dogs and they sometimes hurt people because their owners are abusive jackasses. Gee, sound familiar?"
