Since the last post is again fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post, even though there's just a little over a week to game start.

With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival.

Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here.

Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs.

When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel."

You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have!

The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home.

As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out.

Each color has a special meaning listed below:

pink - toys
blue - oral
yellow - watersports
green - age play
lavender - crossdressing
orange - multiples
grey - bondage
white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob)
red - blood
black - wildcard

These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads.

If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

"I don't care, I'm just stating facts. You're underdeveloped as a race and can't handle the shit that's out there."

"Riiiight. And that's why you're here in the middle of a bunch of underdeveloped losers. I see you handling your shit just fine. My bad, buddy. You go right back to twiddling your perfectly handleable shit. I'll be over here with the rest of the useless peons."

"Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to be having trouble following basic conversation. The fact that they got a hold of someone like me is a big problem. I don't know who they are any more than you do, so what hope do you think humans have?"

"Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to have problems noticing things around you. The ones in charge? Yeah, they seem to be human, buddy. So, maybe you oughta get off that chair of prejudice you're enjoying and take an actual look around you. This doesn't look like some Star Wars port or something, catch my drift?"

"Seem!" His whispered words started to sound more hissy. "They were not human, and if they were? Then they're not who's fucking in charge here."

"Oh yeah? And why's that? Because buggy aliens have to be the big grand pubahs? Careful, your prejudice is showing there."

The little green man glared up at her, mandibles snapping reflexively out of his mouth in his anger. "You are a fool if you think this has anything to do with pride. Earth doesn't have the technology for this! You haven't even left your own damn galaxy, so how do you expect to reach out and kidnap people from others?!"

"You seem to be missing one giant possibility here, clicky face, and you're going on the misguided assumption of a stationary timeline. I don't know about you, but this pretty much looks like Earth to me, and if that's the case, this is a pretty jumped-forward version. Which means maybe the piddly humans reached back and ganked you from a different time line and you don't know jack shit about what any of them can do now. Considering you're here and all."

That actually got him to pause, and he stared at her wide-eyed for a moment before just laughing at her, or at least it looked seemed like laughter. The soft sounds he made were accompanied by chitters and click, mandibles still hooked out of the corners of his mouth as he shook his head in disbelief. Time travel. Hilarious.

His mockery just had her shrugging her shoulders, hands going in her pockets as she moved to turn away. "Right. Because zooming through space at the speed of light - or faster - with bug aliens is feasible, but a little skip through time's what's suddenly impossible. You have fun living in your little box of denial if that's what gets you through the day, buddy."

"Suddenly? It's never been possible! Even the Ogurath can't move through time and they're older than anyone can remember. It's paakshit. Stories for children."

"You keep telling yourself that, buddy. But I'm pretty sure this is Earth. And that means a future one, because it didn't look like this when I went to bed last night."

"Now who's being self important? You think it has to be Earth just because there's humans here?"

"Because there's mostly humans here and this looks pretty damn Earthy to me. You see a sign that says we're on 'Not Earth'?"

"Having humans on my ship didn't make it as human ship. I don't know where we are and neither do you. Making assumptions is how you get your ass killed."

"Having almost exclusively humans in a city makes it pretty damn human to me. And you're likely to get a nasty surprise if you're all 'meeh, humans can't do anything because they have the dumbs'."

"You seen inside them yet? You don't know if they're the same as you. Didn't you listen to a word they said when you got here? This is a breeding program! They're stealing our fucking DNA." Which, to be honest, terrifies the shit out of him.

"Human DNA, mostly." No, she wasn't going to let that part go. She was more than mildly offended that this guy seemed to think humans were the shit you scraped off your shoe.

"Says the human who knows shit about the universe beyond what she sees in front of her own face." He never said anything of the sort, she was just being overly defensive and dense in his oh so humble opinion.

He's implying it with his tone. "That's because I come from a time that doesn't have space travel, you dinkus."

"Then you shouldn't be acting like you could possibly know anything about what's going on!" What the fucking fuck was a dinkus.

"Wow, you're clearly missing the point on that whole thing. If you've got humans in your time on your ships, and people from my time don't space travel... what's that tell you? Huh? Come on, I know there's probably a brain in there somewhere."

"I had stow aways, they don't fucking count. Humans don't have space travel, which I already pointed out. So if they don't have space travel, and you don't have space travel... what's that tell you? Hmm?"
