CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW, PART DEUX! Since the last post is again fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post, even though there's just a little over a week to game start. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

Skylar's standing off to the side, watching the... guy? with a look of intense curiosity and awe. She had no idea what he- it- was fiddling with, but it looked mechanical in nature, and if that was the case, it had likely been fritzed along with all of her toys. She wasn't sure if she should bother going up and trying to talk to him or if that'd just make it worse.

So she stood there, like a tourist, staring.

The earplugs worked, at least somewhat, or else he'd be in a whole lot of screaming pain at the moment. He was just having trouble getting the fine tuning to cooperate. After a bit more of fighting he finally seemed to relax somewhat, antennae finally lifting up to feel through the air.

That was when he finally noticed the strange person. Was that a human? Not that it mattered, he was being stared at and he didn't like it.

"Can I help you?" Despite his harshness, his voice was very soft, like he was forcing a whisper.

"Um... I dunno. Can you?" She literally had to bite her tongue to keep herself from asking him what he was, because rude much? Her hands fidgeted in her jacket pockets, her eyes skipping over him as she tried to figure out exactly where he might have come from.

Faed scowled. Seriously, he was starting to think humans were all mentally deficient in some manner. The whispering continued as he snapped back at her. "If staring is all you're fucking capable of doing than probably not."

A short laugh left her at the curse, and she smirked. "I can do a hell of a lot more than staring, I'm just... you're... well, you're that," she said, gesturing with her hands to point out his body.

He looked down at himself, patting around a bit in search of something wrong before looking up at her like she sprouted an extra head. "What?"

"Um... not human?" God, she hoped that didn't piss him off. She definitely was getting a male vibe from him now, prominent in the tone if not the body language.

He narrowed his eyes at her and made a clicking sound which could be construed as something of a soft growl. "What does that have to do with anything? Guess what? The universe doesn't revolve around you people!"

"Well, this is a newsflash to me, you... guy... thing. What, you think I see non-humans every day? That'd be a no, by the way." There wasn't any heat to her voice, since she was still in awe as she looked him over.

"Gadakai. And no shit. You're not worth the time." Which was how he knew they couldn't be on Earth. They're not capable of pulling off something like this.

"Okay, now you're just being rude to be a dick. Which I don't know if that's the right term, since you could be being a thorax or... whatever it is you guys call your junk."

[virioncomplex]

"Or I'm just stating the facts. You're an infantile race with nothing to offer except maybe recourses that can be gotten elsewhere with little to no effort." He's just going to let her wonder about his junk.

"Hey, not fair, buddy. At least our kind don't go around probing people in the butt. I don't know which kind does that, but not cool, buddy." Her mind was off his junk and on the question of what kind of alien he was, obviously, and how come he knew so much about humans and she knew squat about him.

He actual knowledge about humans was rather lacking when it came down to it, but enough to make generalized assumptions. "Judging but what I've already seen humans do in this place, I think you're full of shit."

"Whoa, what goes on here is hardly judge-worthy, buddy. I mean, I'm not even from here, so that's massively beside the point. Besides, sex is hardly the worst way to spend your time, compared to beating the crap out of each other or other useless past times."

"Hey, you were the one who brought butt probes into the conversation. I'm just calling it like it is."

"Well, duh. That's what aliens are known for. Kidnapping the stupidest people on our planet and sticking things up their butts. Not my fault you guys got a reputation."

"Kinky. But no. If my people ever came to your world that's the last thing they'd do." He thought. Mostly. "But like I said, it's a waste of time."

"Which part, exactly? The kidnapping or the butt-probing?"

"Going to Earth. Unless you have a fetish for anally probing underdeveloped mammalian species, apparently."

"Gee, way to just crap all over the entire species. You know, considering you're tossed in the middle of a bunch of them, you might want to think about changing that 'tude."

"I don't care, I'm just stating facts. You're underdeveloped as a race and can't handle the shit that's out there."

"Riiiight. And that's why you're here in the middle of a bunch of underdeveloped losers. I see you handling your shit just fine. My bad, buddy. You go right back to twiddling your perfectly handleable shit. I'll be over here with the rest of the useless peons."

"Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to be having trouble following basic conversation. The fact that they got a hold of someone like me is a big problem. I don't know who they are any more than you do, so what hope do you think humans have?"

"Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to have problems noticing things around you. The ones in charge? Yeah, they seem to be human, buddy. So, maybe you oughta get off that chair of prejudice you're enjoying and take an actual look around you. This doesn't look like some Star Wars port or something, catch my drift?"
