CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW, PART DEUX! Since the last post is again fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post, even though there's just a little over a week to game start. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

"Why? Are we contagious? Or are you into guys? S'cool if you are, you know. I mean, everyone's got their own thing. I guess you are easily excitable enough..."

"No I'm not into guys!" he quickly replied, "Like I said, doing stuff like that's a waste of time! I've got more important things to do."

She rolled her eyes at him. "Good luck with that, buddy. I don't know if you paid any attention to the newsflash when we got here, but that's pretty much all you're supposed to be doing now."

He had been in too panicked a mental state to give all but the barest amounts of attention to what had been said to him when he arrived. The girl's words made him go pale again.

"That's not true! You're just trying to scare me!"

"Look around, bub. You see anything happening here to counter what I'm saying?"

[meanlook]

A quick glance around was given before his eyes darted back to Kenzi, who was much less traumatizing to look at than the ensuing debauchery.

"I don't want to do... that stuff! Why would anyone kidnap a bunch of people just for this? It's stupid!"

"I'm not the ringmaster here. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to either toe the line or avoid toeing the line."

[meanlook]

"You're really going to maybe... do it?" he asked, much less rough around the edges than he had been when they'd first crossed paths. All the assaults to his usual worldview were making his walls come down a bit more than usual.

She bit her lip, stifling a snort. "You say that like I haven't before, dude. It's not the plague. It's bumping uglies. Getting jiggy with it. Doing the nasty. Bow chicka bow wow. Do it right, and it's awesome."

[meanlook]

When it was revealed he was the only one without experience in the conversation, his former conceited swagger returned.

"I just don't see the point. I mean... if I wanted to, I'm sure I'd be really great at it. Not like it's hard."

A cheekier grin this time. "Hard's kind of what you're going for, genius."

[meanlook]

The joke flew right over his head. He crossed his arms smugly, "I've done much harder stuff."

Oh, but he was just digging himself deeper. "Considering you'd be a newb at it, I'd be surprised if you could last longer than half a minute."

[meanlook]

Silver frowned, not liking his ability to do anything insulted, even if it was something he previously claimed not to care about!

"No way! I'm no weakling!"

[sawyourwolfjunk]

And because it was bugging him, she egged him on more. "Puh-leeze. I doubt you could even get your pants off before... oops." She snickered, rolling her eyes at him before turning to leave.

[meanlook]

He was so wrapped up in having his ego poked at that he followed her, hands balled fists at his side.

"Hey! What do you mean, 'oops'?"

"I mean 'oops'. You'll let the soldiers out before you're even out of the gate." She'd half expected him to follow, and she kept her pace slow and away from the crowd.

[meanlook]

"More like my soldiers will beat your soldiers before they even know what's happening!" he fired back, kind of missing the point of the analogy but weren't soldiers supposed to win?

She had to just stop and stare at him for a minute. Was he really that naive. "Dude, girls don't have... ugh. Nevermind."

[meanlook]

"Hey, not my fault you're confusing!"

It wasn't as if he'd had a lot of time for sex education when he'd run away from home to fight with monsters, after all.

"Dude... how old are you?"

[meanlook]

"Sixteen!" he said as if it were an impressive number, "What's it to you?"

She gave him a look, hands up at her shoulders. "You are way too young for me to be having this conversation with you. Isn't there, like, a comic book store or something around here?"

"What kind of question is that? We're trapped in some creepy other world, and you want to read comic books?" he lifted a brow at her.

"No, but I think you should go read comic books and leave sex talk to people that can actually have sex."
