Since the last post is fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post. With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival.

Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here.

Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs.

When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel."

You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have!

The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home.

As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out.

Each color has a special meaning listed below:

pink - toys
blue - oral
yellow - watersports
green - age play
lavender - crossdressing
orange - multiples
grey - bondage
white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob)
red - blood
black - wildcard

These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads.

If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

Reika, on the other hand, is well aware of her attraction to women, but has largely ignored it. Romance means meeting a handsome young man and getting married and having kids, right? She can't imagine not doing that. It's just what you do.

She rests her head on Umi's shoulder. That's fine, right? It's just being close after all. "Yes. We'll be all right together."

Getting married and having kids! That's important. Japan's got that falling birthrate and all.

But she does feel warm now that there's a head resting on her shoulder. "We'll just hold out until the cavalry arrives."

Of course! And Reika needs to do her part to help. What kind of heroine would she be if she focused entirely on fighting bad guys and didn't help out with long-term issues like that?

Reika's feeling a bit warm, too, or is that just Umi's body heat? Well, the realization that that's actually debatable definitely makes her feel a bit warm. --But it's fine, right? Surely Umi would speak up if Reika was doing anything she shouldn't. "We'll have to be careful. There's probably more to this than just putting us all in a city together."

The real heroes are... people who have babies? Umi's not sure if that's right at all. The real heroes are supposed to be cops and firefighters and stuff, but babies are good too.

Reika's not doing anything uncomfortable. In fact it's... nice. Sitting together, close with someone, a new friend, just enjoying their company. You don't just enjoy a friend's company with an arm around them, though, down around her waist. "Yeah... who knows what kind of... what kind of tricks they've got."

Hey, all those people have babies, too! Well, not all of them, but a lot of them.

That's a rather nice feeling, having Umi's arm around her. Reika's sure it's just meant as a friendly gesture, but it doesn't quite feel that way to her. But again, she's sure it's just a friendly gesture. One that it would be rude not to return, right? "We'll need to be on our guard..."

Umi's not thinking about babies any more.

But it's comfortable like this. Being close and warm, even if it makes her blush a little, but now it's starting to get through her head. Resting against each other. Arms around each other. Sitting like this feels far too good, and it's way too affectionate. "...we're not on our guard."

Well, no, that would be awkward in a place like this.

"...you're right." If Reika sounds surprised, that's because she is. All this talk of not falling for this place's tricks, and here she's just been relying on the idea that Umi is somehow immune.

She sits up, blushing and looking away. "I'm sorry. I was about to lead us both to an early defeat."

Umi reaches out as Reika pulls away, for her hand, not letting her get too far away. She's far from immune, and it's making itself so apparent that... no, she shouldn't just give in but...

"You didn't put my arm around you." They'll be defeated either way, part of her mind is starting to tell her, and Reika is a nice girl. Pretty.

And that stops Reika in her tracks, and she settles close again. Leaving would be kind of like abandoning Umi, and she can't abandon someone she'd set out to help, right? Especially someone so prett--er, especially a friend. Yes, that's it.

"No, but I allowed it, and then I did the same thing. I have to take responsibility for what I've done." She couldn't remember ever making a mistake like this before. ...it was a mistake, right?

"Listen. Reika." Umi moves her hands to the girl's shoulders, turning her, expression serious, nervous, and a bit bothered. She could just lean in... no, not like that.

"If just sitting together is like this, then it's gonna happen sooner or later so... let's just..." Do. A thing. Sexually. With each other.

This is 57 varieties of not what Reika expected, and to commemorate the occasion, her face has turned the approximate color of ketchup. It's one thing to be thinking about such things; it's another matter entirely to have it suggested.

We shouldn't, Reika thought a moment ago she should say, but... she can't deny how appealing it is. And it isn't as if it's something bad, right? She was going to do it with someone eventually anyway. And Umi wants to do it with her. It's important for Umi to be happy, right?

"Do you think we should?" she asks. Of course Umi thinks she should--that's why she said it. But really, Reika's just looking for an excuse now.

Maybe it's not what Reika expected. It's not what Umi did either, until... just minutes ago, honestly. She wanted to resist this place and all its temptations, but it struck her - she's gone from not even realizing she was attracted to girls to realizing that Reika's attractive far too quickly.

They'll do it sooner or later anyways. "...Reika, if I'm already feeling like this, then what happens the longer we stay here? It's really strange and I'm really nervous but we can... make it alright."

That's right. A strategy has to be chosen carefully, and if things are already to this point, it's clear that just resisting isn't a strategy that will work. This is just what they do to everyone, after all. What happens to people who refuse to do it?

"You're right," she says at last. "Under these circumstances, the only thing we can do is to avoid worsening the situation. For the time being, we'll have to..."

It's all strategy, though Fuu's the smart one of their group. What would Fuu's strategy be? ...well if both of them were here, they do trust each other enough to... no! Fuu's taken, Umi could never do that.

And she's got Reika here. "...I have... no idea where to start, though." Does she kiss Reika? Touch her boob?

Reika's purportedly the smart one out of hers, so they're good to go! You know, except for the severely impaired judgement. Maybe if Nao was here, she'd be able to contribute some common sense and tell them not to do this, or at least tell them to go inside first.

And it's not like Reika's grasp of sex is any better. "Just... do as you like?"

Common sense is usually Umi's thing relative to the two goofballs, but common sense would say that they shouldn't be doing this in the first place, and that they shouldn't be here at all. Common sense has left the building.

"B-but I don't know what I like. What do you like?" Assuming Reika is... somehow more knowledgeable?

Or, given where they are now, maybe a better way of putting it would be to say that common sense has entered a building, expecting to find them there.

Reika could give an excellent description of how sex between a man and a woman for the purpose of reproduction with no thought to pleasure works. Sex ed needs to get with the times. "I don't know, either. We could just... try things?"

Depending on how you define 'common' in this case. Certainly, going at it like rabbits is the common thing here. Sensible? Maybe to everyone doing it.

Unfortunately, Umi has only ever heard whispers, and read a few snippets of some naughty writing, so her knowledge is about as clinical as Reika's, just less informed. "I could... um..." Lean in, close enough that they can feel each other's breath. "Can we kiss?"

So clearly this is what common sense leads them to. No problem, then, right?

--Oh. Kiss. "Yes. We can kiss." Why didn't she think of that? It was clearly what she wanted to do most, based on how she felt right now.

The logical conclusion of intelligent young women.

Of course, Umi's not even sure how kissing works. She's seen her friends kiss, but it's more like Ferio swooping in and doing all the kissing with Fuu, and she's not nearly that dashing yet. "K-kiss... my first one." Well you start by... pressing lips against lips, soft and warm...

Oh. So this is Umi's first kiss, too? That's what Reika was about to say, but then suddenly her lips were otherwise occupied. Also, she wasn't entirely certain her heart was still beating. How was it possible for a simple kiss to feel so good?

Her first kiss, and it's with a girl. She'd have never thought - but lips feel pretty good... Reika's pretty and... she's seen romance movies so if she tilts her head and moves forwa-ow!

Umi pulls back, lips almost apart after clacking teeth together.

Ow ow ow ow ow. What the hell was that, Umi? some people would have said. Not Reika, though. Her reaction was much more understated, and came after a moment of clutching her mouth. "It would seem that that was the wrong thing to do."

"Ah, uh... ow." How do people even get around teeth, god, now she felt so stupid. First kiss: failed. It had felt good, oddly nice at first, but they apparently had to be a little careful.

"Maybe if I... hm." Leaning in again, lips barely brushing together, though he eyes were open and glancing down as she pulled a hand from Reika's shoulder and placed it over her chest.
