CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW Since the last post is fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

[Normally, pride would never allow her to flee from a potential threat, but given the current circumstances, she might not be able to best him in raw physical power. If she was unable to call forth her claws, chances are, her healing abilities would be lacking as well. So far, Greed had not triggered the fight or flight instinct within her and when he released her from his grasp, her body instantly relaxed.

Despite her name’s sake, Lust was hardly interested in the foolish carnal desires the others were shamelessly indulging in. Casually, she extended her hand upwards, running a gloved hand through her lusciously thick locks. Finally, her eyes settled on a single focal point on the man’s face, locking onto his ever so slightly wandering gaze.]

I find the current environment to be annoying at best.

[Her tone was dry, holding a bit of bite to her words. Carefully, she began to calculate her next sentence, unsure as to where she could stand with Greed. Given everything she has known about her elder brother, it would be stupid of her to trust him fully. By now, it would be common knowledge that she blatantly betrayed their cause. If any of the other Homunculi happened to be in the city, Envy in particular, she would certainly need a powerful alley by her side.

Greed could very well be one of the only things that could keep her from eternal torment. The thought is almost frightening, his price would be high, but it certainly wouldn’t be something that she couldn’t afford to pay. His questions, allowed the perfection opportunity to test the waters. She didn’t see the need in hiding everything from him, but being purposely vague could work to her advantage for the time being.]

Your guess is as good as mine; I was currently looking for the answer to that question…. Perhaps it’s both.

Aw, come on. You used to be a lot more fun than that.

[Or, at least, he had vague memories of such a hundred years ago. It was hard to say what she was really like these days, when the only time he'd seen her lately was far below as he was lowered into a boiling cauldron. Part of him wanted to hold that against her, but it was Wrath who did it, and Father, so how much could she really be blamed? Especially when he was short on familiar faces in this place. Better not to make enemies too quickly.

And she certainly didn't seem quick to strike, that was clear. While she was probably as powerless as him, as proven by her lack of claws when he'd grabbed her, there was also a distinct lack of sharpness in her words, or evil smirks. She almost seemed like a different person.]

Great. So we're both in the dark.

[He shrugged his shoulders, taking a few more pacing steps around her, never really out of reach. It was too much of a coincidence just running into her like this, and he wasn't going to let her get away until his curiosity was satisfied. How could he? But that didn't mean he had to be too overbearing, especially without knowing what else was lurking in the crowds. It wouldn't shock him if she was bait for Envy, or Gluttony, and even powerless two or three of six on one was bad odds.]

Of course, you've gotta wonder, who'd give us a second chance?

[He flashed her a smile, smug rather than self-deprecating. Greed had never regretted the things he'd done, and he never would. Now matter how wicked or destructive they were.]
