CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW Since the last post is fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post. Please continue your threads or start new ones here if you'd like. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

"... That actually happens? You're like, Sleeping Beauty with wings." SHe laughed, trying to stifle it so he didn't think she was trying to be mean.

She opened it up, turning it on and showing him the basic OS that the place would allow her. "I can't pick up any of their frequencies, and they've practically stripped her down to the bare necessities, but I'm just glad she works. They totally killed my accessories, and I'm bummed about that."

Leaning back, she scowled slightly, finger twirling her ring on her finger.

"Not that close," Lexington said with a smile. "No one had to kiss us to break the spell." And Sleeping Beauty didn't turn to stone to sleep...but details.

Frowning a little, he studied the screen quietly. "Maybe we can upgrade it enough to use the city's network. There's alays a way to."

"Well, from what their little 'intro' said, I'll be able to get it upgraded as I, uh, upgrade. And since they have some kind of chip in my head, I'm not exactly willing to give them the finger until I know exactly what the consequences are." It was one thing to be a hacker or sell blackmarket weapons and toys when she could thumb her nose at authority and maybe get jail time, but this? This was a little freaky. Okay, a lot freaky.

"ell, yeah. Smartest not to pull anything with them before knowing what could happen." He wasn't very comfortable with the requirements to move up in this place either...especially still very much a virgin as he was.

"Anything that requires 'rehabilitating' doesn't sound pleasant to me. So I'll just keep my nose clean, for now, and party like a rockstar." Sky was very much not a virgin, but she picked up on the discomfort and it made her grin.

"Yeah, in this place it sounds more like it'll be brainwashing or something like that." He caught that grin and and shuffled his talons. "What?"

"This is probably going to sound bad no matter how I put it, so I'll just say it. What exactly are the mating habits of gargoyles? I mean..." She let her eyes flit down for a minute, then back up to his face, still smirking.

"M-Mating habits?" Lex shifted his gaze away and coughed. "It..well it's not complicated. We fall in love and...have sex like anyone else. We just don't have marriage customs or specific family settings for hatch-lings."

"Well, I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything, but I don't think they're going to exactly wait for you to get your happily ever after going on." And because they were on the topic, she propped her chin up on her hand grinning at him. "Sex like humans? I mean... all the same equipment?"

"Well, I know that...but how else was I supposed to say it?"

He felt the sudden urge to close his legs, but didn't do it, not wanting to look more awkward that he was. "I'd guess so. I mean, I've never seen a human naked but we can't be that different."

She laughed. "You have a tail. And wings. That's a whole scale of different right there, Lex. Not that I'm complaining. I think they're great. But if you've never seen a naked human before, how do you know it's all the same?" To be fair, human males were one of the only animals that didn't have sheaths or something protective for their genitals. She did, however, manage to avoid letting her eyes stray again. Poor guy looked like he wanted to bolt.

"I don't, but the basic figure is the same, except the obvious differences. Female gargoyles are basically the same as human females in shape." It was just awkward because he didn't spare too much thought on relationships usually. And now he was in a place where it was just sex.

"Ooh, so female gargoyles got the curvy bang she-bang going on? Nice." Someone was walking past with a tray of treats, and Skylar grabbed a couple and slid one over to Lex. "Here, you can pretend not to answer embarrassing questions with a full mouth."

Taking the treat, he did just that too. He hadn't heard that phrasing, but he got the general idea and was appropriately embarrassed.

Grinning, she popped some of the food in her mouth, chewing slowly. "So, what's your game plan here, hmm? You can't exactly just not play their little game." She was curious, of course, to see what he'd do. Maybe find out what he preferred.

"I'll have to do it I guess, but I don't really have a plan. I haven't had much of a chance to get close to girls." He also hadn't ever considered guys as an option, despite his relatively low interest in girls.

"You know, I'm pretty sure if you just dangled what beads you were in the mood for out there and walked up to someone to offer them, there's more than a handful here who'd say yes."

Sorry had to shift my focus for a bit.

"Maybe." Lex was still having a bit of trouble with the fact he could walk down the street. Walking around with these beads for things that might interest him seemed a little much for now.

"So, you don't have a problem woth that?"

"With which part, exactly?" She ran her finger along the side of the laptop, tipping her head at him. "The sex or you?"

As much as he wanted to ask if she had a problem him, he didn't. Not yet.

"With the beads. I mean some things they're for are just...saying they sound out there would be kind of an understatement I guess."

"I'm not exactly sunshine and lollipops with all of the scenarios, but I'm kosher with some of them. Some of the... tamer ones, as well as maybe the not-so-tame." She grinned, a wistful sigh leaving her as she wished she had all of her toys here.

"I think I'll stick to tamer activities." He didn't miss the sigh, wondering if maybe she missed someone back home. He did. But the grin made him think it might be otherwise.

"So you have experience?"

Her lips twisted in a grin, and her eyes met his again. "Oh, you could say that."

Looking around, she leaned her head on her hand, still grinning. "You know, I'm sure you could fill out your dance card here as well, Lexy."

"Dance card?" She momentarily lost him there and Lex felt his face warm at the nickname. Lexy? Really?

Hah! I just tossed in my fourth today.

"I mean you can get yourself some experience if you want. This place seems more than open to catering to all sorts of things, and I'm sure that you can find quite a bit of interest." She let her eyes linger on him, curious herself how it would work...
