CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW Since the last post is fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

[ Setsuna F. Seiei is, for the record, kawaii as fuck. Totally. Seriously. It's just hidden behind several layers of borderline murderous intent. And swords. Lots and lots of swords.

Okay, not really, but he likes that look in her gaze, challenging and fierce. He's following in tow, and most surprisingly, behind, near submissively. Chi-Chi should have no concerns about him underestimating him on account of gender; he's nearly been dropped by girls half his size on more than one occasion, and he already knows Chi-Chi is much, much stronger than she initially appears.

Setsuna puts a reasonable amount of distance between them, but doesn't lower himself into a fighting position quite yet. He's curious to see what she'll do. ]

Turtle style... is that defensive? But I'm pretty aggressive, myself, so it'll take a tough guard to stop me.

[ If you know what I mean ohohoho nah not at all, all serious business, this guy. Your move, Chi-Chi. ]

[Chi-Chi isn't beyond attacking first, especially when she's pissed, but when she's of sound mind, she's like any experienced fighter and prefers to start up with an understanding of her opponent.

Unlike Setsuna, she does shift into a fighting stance, almost on instinct. One arm is held straight out, two fingers on that arm's hand sticking skyward. The other hand is held close to her chest, open palmed.]

The Turtle School is all about strength, endurance, and controlling your chi.

[She crooks a finger, moving it in a beckoning gesture.]

But if you want to find out more, you'll have to come and see. A lady never tells all of her secrets.

[bursting]

[ Feisty, isn't she? But he likes that about her, likes it a lot, and the corner of his lip lifts into a smirk, just slightly, to show that he's very much interested, and maybe a little bit more than what might be considered polite. ]

We'll see about that.

[ Both the strength, and the secrets.

Before she can notice his staring and get a serious reprimand for it, though, he's charging ahead, dropping into an aggressive stance in the time it takes one to blink, appearing to aim for a solid punch to her chest but shifting to a swift kick at her legs at the last possible second instead, a feint. ]

[If she doesn't approve of his smirk, she doesn't show it. But it's probably very likely that she has no problem with it now, despite the fact that if he gave her the same look on the street, she might not have been so keen. Different rules apply to the battlefield, and she knows that as well as anyone.

She also knows that she may of underestimated him already, as she moves to block the obvious punch he's setting up and fails to register his leg coming in toward her. This knocks her off her balance and it could take her down for a down for a tumble. Luckily, low center of gravity inherent to the Turtle style and her own arm strength means she's able to catch herself on the ground and swing herself into a messy, pseudo-flip.

It's not the most convenient of positions, but it's more defensible than being flat on your back. And as soon as her feet hit the ground, she'll be directing a kick his way.]

[ Setsuna couldn't agree more, nor is he unaccustomed to being underestimated himself; serious in demeanor he may have been, radiating an aura of don't mess with me, but he's also on the shorter, leaner side. In terms of a battle of pure muscle, Chi-Chi would likely win, as would most others.

But Setsuna's strength lies in his speed, his agility, which the woman now has gotten a taste of. He moves in to finish the job, but she, too, is fast, and flips just out of reach before he can deliver a following blow. It wasn't the most elegant of maneuvers on her part, sure, but fighting isn't about looking pretty. It's about taking take your opponent swiftly and efficiently, and it's clear that's what she's gunning for.

The kick is high, hard, and hits the flat of his arm like a ton of bricks once it thrusts upward to catch it. He wobbles underneath her muscle, rattled by the sheer intensity behind the kick. He's certainly very much still in the fight, just caught off guard by her reaction time. He makes a mental note to watch out for particularly unconventional tactics, as she's employed. ]

Not bad.

[ And now he'll be throwing off that weight, or attempting to, and moving forward for his next assault, a thrust of his pointed hand to her gut to disable her.]

[One of the nice things about her training is that she'd never been taught so formally, so everything she knows how to do is a mixed bag of what her father's learned over the years. Sure, it looks a bit uncouth sometimes, and would probably get her laughed out of more traditional circles. But hey. If it works, it works.

Like when her kick connects with his arm. She grins, prepared to add a sideways chop with her hand to his side- yet his speed prevents her. Instead, she'll be getting a hand right to her gut.

She pulls away, as much as she can, doubled over.]

Ngh- not bad yourself.

[Of course, the endurance training and the controlling of chi means she's a bit more tough than most, so she's not ready to be completely disabled.]

[ Uncouth is usually for the best, in his opinion. Uncouth meant unexpected, and unexpected meant a significant advantage in his line of work, where an otherwise unusual strategy could mean the difference between life and death. They're not fighting for such high stakes here, of course, but she's still managed to earn his respect, and that definitely counts for something.

Setsuna looks amused that his compliment is returned, though he doesn't let up. He will, however, treat this encounter a bit more playfully, a rare sign he's having fun, and aim to once again force her on a back, hook his leg around her ankle and send her backwards. Questionable that it'll even work, given how well-grounded she is, and it leaves him vulnerable should he fail, but he's willing to give it a try. ]

[Chi-Chi, if she were pressed to admit it, would say she's not the greatest fighter there is. That honor would go to her husband, and she wouldn't have it any other way. If you can't be the strongest, at the very least have some kind of alliance with them, right? And love is a pretty darn good allience.

One way Chi-Chi matches Goku, though, is that they are both unpredictable and willing to put their all into a fight - even if it means making little concessions in things like perfect image for battle plans.

And that's why she falls when he hits her ankles. She hides any glimmer of what she may or may not have allowed, instead making a pained noise as she hits the ground.]

[bursting]

[ Love is one of the strongest alliances there could possibly be, if Setsuna were pressed to admit it. Love is what saved his world from certain destruction at the hands of some very destructive individuals. Love is the key to understanding each other. And to understand, to come together rather than to fight, is why people like him exist.

But fighting like this he doesn't mind. Chi-Chi also is rather fortunate in that while Setsuna is a good fighter, he's not necessarily a smart fighter. Strategizing he could do to an extent, but he's easily baited and easily trapped into less than preferable positions. Like now, when he's moving to top her and secure his victory, simply assuming she's as weakened as she looks. ]

[princessbride]

[In his defense, Chi-Chi looks pretty laid out. Chest heaving, hair tussled, gi dirty, their fight has taken its toil. Still, she had warned him not to go easy on her.

Because she can easily wrap those strong arms around him once he's in her reach and heave the considerable strength in her small body to switch their positions so that she's on top. A risky move, but she hadn't taken a fall for nothing.]

[bursting]

[ Pretty laid out and pretty in general, though that may be the chip talking more than anything else. Regardless, he's seized in an instant, surprised by both the strength of her arms and that she has strength period, and it clicks too late that was she was merely feigning death, as it were. The gambit is successful, and Setsuna is pinned beneath her with merely token resistance.

Knowing that an opponent who's been thrown to his back and lorded over like this a defeated one (if she had a more direct weapon, like a knife or a gun, he'd be as good as dead by now) he raises his palms in surrender. Pride wounded, and ow, hitting the ground like that kind of hurt, but he's chuckling all the same.

It'll hit him that he's got an attractive woman this close to him in a minute. Really. Or maybe not, as he's kind of dense in that department. ]

Alright. You got me, that time. I give up.

[princessbride]

[This isn't the first time she's been on top of a guy, but usually, they weren't as good-looking as him. Well, except for Goku, and that's in a different context...

Wait, what? She should hardly be thinking about that, much less about someone's attractiveness. The only sign she'll give, though, is the tiniest of blushes on her cheeks that can probably be mistaken for just being red in the face from exhaustion. Maybe that's why she's none too slow to move in trying to get up off him, even if there's still a little smile on her face.]

Who needs a weapon, again?

[bursting]

[ Not you, definitely. Just don't get too high off your own ego, alright? Time to ignore that aching in his side and shuffle a bit weakly onto his feet, and here, have a hand to help you up, too, since... damn, you're not even limping at all from that? What are you guys made over on planet DBZ, kyptonite?

Well, whatever. He's not ashamed because there's nothing to be ashamed of. Chi-Chi is a strong woman, a strong individual, and he has no qualms losing to someone like her at all. Still a lame way to lose, though. Pft. ]

You're tricky. That could almost be considered cheating.

[princessbride]

[Dude, she got up after Goku punched the air so hard she went flying into a wall. Even the humans in DBZ are made of pure steel. And then, though she's not at that point in the timeline, this is the woman who will give birth to two half-alien babies.

She does take his hand, though. There's no shame in being helped up - even if it's by the person who punched.

She looks a bit affronted by his insistence, though it's mostly in jest.]

No, it's not! There's nothing cheating about exploiting your opponent's weakness.

[bursting]

[ Yep, definitely feisty. He'd grin if it were his sort of thing. Instead, he'll just quietly laugh. ]

You're right, Chi-Chi. You're obviously a true fighter. I'm sorry I implied otherwise.

[princessbride]

Apology accepted.

[Though grinning broadly is her thing, she's not quite up to it, yet. Maybe when all the anger is sapped out of her and the microchip has won her over. For now, though, he'll get a warm nod his way.]

You know, you're not so bad, either. When you get better at reading your opponent and seeing through [snrk] feminine charm, you'll be a skilled fighter.

[bursting]

[ You remind him of Sumeragi. And Tieria. Or a mix of the two. Which is a good thing, by the way. It never hurts to be reminded of home. ]

Is that what it was?

[ No comment on the "skilled fighter" bit, but he'll smirk a little. ]

But I guess you're right. It's pretty hard to defend yourself against something you can't even see.

[princessbride]

[Oh no you didn't. Chi-Chi crosses her arms, flipping her hair with the skill only such sassy ladies have developed. It's an art.]

I know you've already fallen for me, but you don't have to be coy about it.

[...it's really hard to tell if she's joking about this.]

Just remember I'm a married woman.

[bursting]

[ He totally le did, girlfriend. And you can just dealwithit.chi-chi because he is so not apologizing for that. ]

I'll remember. Don't worry.

[princessbride]

I'm serious!

[And with that, she gives him a once over.

No, not checking him out, but-]

You need to get cleaned up.

[bursting]

I know.

[ So was he! Honest.

And glancing down, because oops, kind of sticky/sweaty/hot/oops my collar just kind of opened how did that even happen heh now. Point taken. ]

I would've worn different clothes if I knew I'd be sparring beforehand.

Or dodging dishes.

[princessbride]

[Men. She goes into the sash around her gi and pulls out a handkerchief.]

Here. You can at least get the dirt off your face.

[Here less than a few hours and already mommying everyone.]

[bursting]

Hm.

[ Tilting his head at it, but taking it anyway. ]

Isn't this considered a romantic gesture in some cultures?

[ He's actually not even teasing. He's just literally that dense. Goku with a different face and name, ladies and gentlemen. Also, he said your tits are awesome, got a problem with it? ]

[princessbride]

I wouldn't know anything about that.

[She looks a bit irritated at that. It will take a while for her to build up the same immunity she had for him]

I told you to not read into it! I'm just being nice.

[just like her tits are pretty nice amirite?]

[ He'll smile faintly at her. So tsun tsun, little lady, and dense as he is, even he can realize when someone's playing hard-to-get. He has no idea what to actually do with tits, okay, but they're still pretty nice. Just saying. ]

And if I decide to keep this? Going to fight me for it?
