CITY OF ARIEL: THE TEST DRIVE THE OVERFLOW Since the last post is fast approaching 3k comments and getting laggy for some of our players, we have decided to go ahead and stick up the overflow post. We started the meme early to give you plenty of room to do just that. ◆◆◆◆ With the City of Ariel grand opening only a month away, we are holding our first ever test drive meme. Tag in and see how your character would settle in the game. You're a fresh face in the city, newly processed, and arriving at a bustling time. The city is expanding and you are greeted first in the re-education center by your helpful counselors and then directed out of the building to a large festival. Be puzzled, make friends, have sex, or whatever you want! There are no restrictions on thread types played out here. Your first awareness that something has gone wrong comes during a groggy moment of semi-lucidity when you look around yourself and find that -- instead of wherever you remember being last -- you're in a chair, in a room with a man you don't recognize. He's sitting behind a desk whistling to himself and sorting paperwork. The whole atmosphere might remind you of a high school guidance counselor's office, only with far more comfortable chairs. When your head clears enough to speak and you ask him where you are, he smiles brightly and says, "Welcome to the City of Ariel." You were brought to Ariel during a very special time! There's a large festival going on celebrating the new expansions to the city and everything is decked out for it. Everything is bustling and vibrant in the city today because of the celebrations. There are decorations up, food vendors set up all along the streets, kissing booths, games, and just about anything else you can imagine an event like this would have! The people of Ariel are out and about as well, some are in vibrant costumes and others are just checking out the sights. Some of the more exhibitionist types are even having a little more fun out in public than you may be used to seeing back home. As soon as the grogginess from your arrival passes, you are allowed to leave the re-education center and see it all for yourself. Upon exiting, you are even handed beads of various colors, several of each so you don't worry about running out. Each color has a special meaning listed below: pink - toys blue - oral yellow - watersports green - age play lavender - crossdressing orange - multiples grey - bondage white - hands (mutual masturbation, fingering, handjob) red - blood black - wildcard These are to aid you in making a connection with others. Show your interest in others and tell them exactly what you would like to do with them by sharing the beads. If you would rather take a different approach, feel free to walk around the festival and see what (or who) catches your eye. The point is to relax and get settled in your new home.

Tony's instinct was to figure things out. To get out. But so far, his efforts had been unsuccessful. And there was something fogging his mind. Not entirely, but just... distracting him. More than usual. A flash of skin, pretty eyes, whatever. He stared down at the handful of beads, noticing other trading them.

If someone walked by, his analytical mind might have been tempted to toss one to them, just to see what would happen.

It was a reflexive instinct that had her catching something flying at her from the corner of her eye as opposed to skill or intent. "Hey," she said, turning with a small furrow in her brow. The furrow grew when she looked down at the orange bead in her hand. "Um, no offense, but... no. I'm just getting the hang of having to deal with one at a time. I'm not a freakin' seven-eleven."

Tony leaned closer and peered at the bead. "Now I'm intensely curious about the 7-11s in your region," he said. "But okay, fair enough." He plucked the orange bead back from her fingers, looked at the other ones in his hand, and held up a blue one between thumb and forefinger. "Better?"

"It was a euphemism, though I suppose McDonald's would have been more appropriate. You know, over one billion served?" She looked at the blue bead, then at him. Then back to the bead.

"Is that you offering or expecting?"

Tony smirked. When in Rome--or wherever the hell they were. You know.

"Depends," he said. "You expecting or offering?"

"Isn't that how the whole thing works? You toss a bead at someone with the intent that that's your preference, and the other person either accepts or refuses? Of course, I don't really have a clue about the actual rules, other than it seems to be 'anything goes as long as it's naked'." She shrugged, grinning back at him.

"Then it sounds," Tony said, "like we can make our own rules. So what's your game of choice, beautiful?"

"Something with alcohol and a bit more privacy. I didn't sign up to be an exhibition in this little Caligulathon. And you can call me Sky."

"Tony," Tony said. "And I don't remember signing up, either. Though I have to say, as nefarious schemes go, it's unique in my experience."

"I'd be more impressed if they hadn't shoved a chip in my brain. I don't know about you, but I keep waiting for it to short circuit. If I smell burnt toast..." She looked towards the city center, giving it a shake of her fist. "I think I'd feel better if they'd let me look at it. And, you know, if they hadn't killed all my toys."

"Well, yeah," Tony said. "I mean, I'm pretty pissed off about that, too, but it's still kind of impressive." He really did want a look at it, though, that was true. "What toys?"

"They stripped my laptop down, and my accessories are just that, now. How's a girl supposed to defend herself if they fizzle and squelch everything? It's just rude."

Tony's nose wrinkled. "You think that's bad?" he asked. "I have a weaponized suit of armor that lets me fly and kick ass. You think I got to keep that?"

"Aww, really? That's just not fair." Now he'd piqued her interest. "Maybe I can finagle something together with the tech here, barring them zapping my brain."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "I'd really like a look at what they're using, myself," he said. "There's got to be a way to scan the chips somehow. You know. While everyone's distracted with the naked."

"Well, first we'd need a scanner. And, uh, I don't know what you can hide where, but I'm pretty sure I don't have one of those stashed on me."

Tony smirked. "You'd be surprised," he said. Though it was an idea. If he could modify... Right, another time. "But the point is--if they've got the tech to make them, they've got the tech to examine them. Somewhere."

"No argument here. Question is, do you have what you need to get into wherever it is they're stashing what they have to scan what they've put in? Because I don't know about you, but my magic genie in a lamp got confiscated." That last bit might have had a bit of sarcasm attached, but really, could she be blamed? They'd taken her toys. They might as well have ripped off her fingers.

Tony raised an eyebrow. "You should keep him somewhere safer, then," he said, eyeing her. "But I don't know what I need. I'll figure it out as I go. It's worked before."

"Yeah? Well, did you have a chip in your brain before? Because I'm not really keen on getting an up close and personal gander at how those dogs with the shock collars feel when they leave the designated space."

Tony shrugged. "Sometimes you gotta take the pain," he said. "But hey, if you'd rather just have sex, that's cool. I can get to the whole 'getting out of here' thing later."

"I didn't say that. I'm thinking I'd just prefer a more subtle approach instead of a head-on attack, you know?"

Tony eyed her quizzically. "Regarding getting out of here, or sex?" he asked. "Because really, I can do either one... either way."

That had her mouth quirking into a grin. "Getting out of here. I'm less sold on subtle for sex. More a fan of all parties knowing what's going on."

"So you equate subtlety with ignorance," Tony clarified. "At least where sex is concerned. That's an interesting take."
